Guitar Hero World Tour will now have a newly designed drum set that will have two elevated cymbals. The elevated cymbals will represent the high hat and crash cymbals. In addition to the elevated cymbals, the Guitar Hero World Tour drum set will have a synthetic rubber pads allowing faster ricocheted drum rolls. This new design will be an authentic resemblance of playing an actual drum set. While the addition of the cymbals will be a crowd or user pleaser, the real benefit is in the rubber pads that represent the snare and tom drums. They are practically dead silent! The rubber pad is approximately a half-inch thick, and allows a spring back effect on your sticks, with hardly any sound. Those that have the current drum set from Rock Band know that the tapping sound it creates actually interferes with the music. This tapping sound has been resolved with these rubber pads.
Another fan favorite with the Guitar Hero World Tour will be the recoding studio feature. At the flip of a switch, members of the band that includes drummer, guitar, bass and singer, can record their own music. Members of the band will select a scale, participate in a jam session for about 15 minutes, flip the record button and bam...you have your very first audio clip that you can now transfer to the mixing studio. The mixing studio is where all the magic begins. Once your clips have been mixed together to form your single, you can now share it with the world.
The mixing studio is a real life experience of using similar mixing programs used by the pros. In fact, anyone who has used that equipment will be familiar with it rather quickly. Once you have your pre-recorded tracks and have looped them to form your single, you can now share it with the world...hence the name Guitar Hero World Tour. GH Tunes is an online suite where all user created songs are stored, ranked and downloaded to be shared.
